Q: If an attacker is between the lady's legs like the beginning scenario in Rape Escape 1 and has her wrists pinned to the ground, how would the lady get the distance to get her feet on the attacker's hip and kick using the Rape Escape philosophy? A: This is an easy one. Because the bad guy is pinning her wrists to the ground his arms are relatively straight which gives her plenty of room to pull her knees up to get her feet on his hips. If she has really long legs, sometimes it's difficult to pull her knees up high enough to her chest, but the EASY fix is to simply let her knees flop out to the side which makes it very easy for her to put her feet on his hips. I've never met ONE woman that could not successfully do this after they were shown how. So we don't find that having her wrists pinned is a problem once you know the solution. The PROBLEM is if he is laying his full weight on her with his hips thrust up against her. He usually has his legs straight so she really can't get her feet on his hips because his legs are straight. She is probably not being penetrated here, but the Rape Escape Level 2 class (and video) has a move which solves this problem. If she doesn't know the move or can't do the move, she can wait. He will eventually have to move to either undress her or undress himself. That's why I counsel women to wear some sort of clothing to bed. And I tell them never to cooperate by disrobing themselves for the guy. When the guy moves and gets his weight up, or takes one of his hands to remove clothing, now she can either get her feet on his hips OR she can start working for the cross choke (another solution from Rape Escape Level 2). He will, of course, counter the choke (if he doesn't, he's an idiot) which means he will raise up and then you can perform the basic escape. If you watch the opening of the Rape Escape 1 video, you'll see plenty of students who start with their wrists or arms pinned, but the solution (control his hips) is no problem and it barely slows them down in performing the technique. It is so easy to counter that it doesn't really get a mention in the video. |
